Samsung Phone Repairs You Can Do at Home

Smartphones have become such a big part of our lives. When was the last time you woke up without looking at your Samsung’s screen? As much as we use them, it is curious as to how little we know about them.

In today’s blog post, you will learn a few tips and tricks on how to perform some common Samsung phone repairs. Also, what to do when you encounter a problem you cannot solve.

Is Your Battery Dying Sooner Than it Should?

For a second, imagine all the new features Samsung offers in its latest smartphone. If you are using the phone to its full potential for a whole day, the battery cannot last long. And this is a very common problem

The easiest fix is to turn the Bluetooth and GPS off. Next, you could reduce your screen’s brightness. Also, most newer Samsung phones have a power mode feature to save battery. For example, there is a medium power saving mode option that doesn’t take much from the functionality but still extends battery life.

Help! My Samsung Screen Froze!

If your screen froze and you are pressing all over your smartphone but nothing seems to work, don’t worry. This is another common problem with most smartphones.

The fix is quite easy, just turn it off and turn it on again. Well, with the modern Samsung phones, that is easier said than done. So you have two options:

  1. Remove the battery. A truly easy fix. Open the back plastic of your smartphone, remove the battery, wait a few seconds, place it back in. And turn your phone on
  2. With the newer models, however, you cannot do that. This is why you need a “reset” cheat code. The code consists of volume and power buttons combination, and it varies from phone to phone. But for Samsung phones, you press the power button and volume up at the same time, and hold them for 15 seconds or until the Samsung logo appears on your screen.

My Samsung is Too Slow

Let’s be honest, you have had at least one slow phone in your life. But older phones simply were slow, and that is how we used them. Nowadays, if a smartphone is slow, there is something wrong with it.

Luckily for you, there are a few simple steps you can take. The first would be to clean your phone from unnecessary data. Then to close or delete the apps you are not using regularly, and finally, to clear the cache data.
